Major Gang Indictment and Murder Cases – Huntington Station
A major development connected to Huntington Station was discussed involving a long-term gang investigation centered around the Lowndes Avenue area.
In January 2026, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the indictment of nine alleged members and associates of the Lowndes Block Gang (LBG), a violent street gang responsible for multiple crimes over the past decade.
The indictment includes charges related to two murders:
- Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez (2021) – prosecutors allege the murder was ordered by gang leadership
- Antoine Butts-Miller (2016) – a previously unsolved murder at a house party
Marques Scott, 31, of Huntington Station, was identified as a leader and is accused of ordering the 2021 murder. Additional defendants include Shakur May, Kamoree Richardson, Joshua Brown, Justice King, Rashad Casey, Tyshawn Lopez, and Brianna Kuchar, all facing various charges including conspiracy.
Authorities say the group is responsible for at least 10 non-fatal shootings on Long Island between 2020 and 2025 and operated a sex trafficking ring to fund their activity.
