HAUUPAUGE, NY – Issued August 14, 2026
Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for damaging a flock camera in Hauppauge in July.
Fourth Precinct officers responded to a 911 caller on July 23 who reported that a camera appears to be spray painted at North County Complex, 725 Veterans Highway, Hauppauge. Following an investigation by Property Auto Crime Section detectives, Russell Clough was arrested at his home on August 14th located on Old Country Road, Huntington Station, at 5:12 p.m.
Clough, 48, was charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Property Auto Crime Section at 631852-6429.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
