HUNTINGTON STATION, NY – Issued September 25, 2026
Suffolk County Police today arrested four people during an SLA inspection at a Huntington Station deli.
In response to community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA Inspection at Honduras Deli, located at 1962 New York Ave. Officers observed customers using gambling devices and consuming liquor within the deli, which does not have a license for on-site liquor consumption.
Jose Turcios, 78, of East Northport, was charged with Promoting Gambling, Possession of Gambling Devices, Criminal Nuisance 2nd Degree, and two counts of ABC Law-Disorderly Premises. He was additionally issued two New York State Liquor Authority violations.
Jose Camachocortes, 52, of Huntington Station, was found in possession of a large quantity of cocaine and was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree.
Juan Zepeda, 41, of Huntington Station, was found to have an active warrant and was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
Hector Suazo, 41, of Huntington Station, was found in possession of cocaine and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
Turcios was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket. Suazo was issued a Field Appearance ticket. They are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
Camachocortes and Zepeda are being held overnight at the Second Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 26.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Town Building Inspector issued multiple violations for fire code and building ordinance infractions. The New York State Liquor Authority, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector are continuing their investigation.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
