Heart For Huntington 2025: Reverend Bernadette Watkins and a young girl with her face painted as a leopard sitting with the church volunteer face painter.

Heart For Huntington Community Festival was a special day filled with unity, connection, fun, and faith hosted by Huntington Assembly at 1700 New York Avenue, Huntington Station this past Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. The annual Heart For Huntington brought neighbors together as the church shared the love of Jesus with everyone who came by.

Always committed to serving the community, church members handed out hot dogs and snacks, hosted a lively Kid Zone and offered live entertainment, raffles for the kids (including a scooter and bicycle giveaway), and plenty of fun. A highlight of the day was watching Pastor Danny Rivera get dunked in the Dunk Tank by a series of impressive throws! Bounce houses filled the area, face painting was a favorite as always, and an impressive Karate demonstration by No Fear Dojo students was featured.

The Suffolk County Police Department 2nd Precinct and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department joined in on the celebration. SCPD brought K-9 Officers and the Distracted / Impaired Driving and Vehicle Survival Program simulator. The Sheriff’s Department brought the Breath Alcohol Testing Mobile DWI Processing truck and a kid-sized go kart for added fun.

Numerous local organizations and community groups were also in attendance, offering valuable resources and information. These included: Housing Help, Northwell Health, Family Service League, AT&T, the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island, South Huntington Public Library, the Town of Huntington Anti-Bias Task Force, Vida Mas Farmacia, Mary Kay, New York Life, St. John’s Episcopal Church, No Fear Dojo Karate-Do, Herbalife, and the M&M Real Estate Team. At the event exit, Helping Hand Rescue Mission gave out a bag of groceries per family and Huntington Assembly church volunteers offered to pray with neighbors for any concerns they had.

It was truly a day where community spirit and support shined bright!
