Introducing Main St. Board Game Café Kids After-School Chess Club! For Kids in Grades 2-6.
A weekly drop-off hour-long chess class and guided play with professional chess instructor David Green of Strategic Moves Chess.
Geared for children of all levels of grade school and beginner to intermediate experience. David has decades of experience opening the world of chess to hundreds of youngsters giving them the skills to compete, and a social outlet that will last a lifetime.
Chess is more than a game—it’s a fun, engaging way to build critical life skills. Kids learn to focus, think ahead, and solve problems creatively while strengthening their memory and patience. It teaches resilience. They learn how to handle both wins and losses with confidence and good sportsmanship. Chess nurtures social connections by bringing children together in a positive, screen-free environment.
Our chess program doesn’t just teach kids how to play—it helps them develop sharper minds, stronger character, and a lifelong love of learning.
