I Love My Parks Day 2025 – FREE
O Captain! My Garden! Cherish, Cultivate, Celebrate!
Roll up your sleeves and participate in outdoor spring clean up at the Walt Whitman Birthplace, as part of a state-wide initiative to maintain parks. Walk- Ins Welcome.
We need YOUR help with the beautification of our garden.

Weeding
Pruning
Planting
Clean Up
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own garden tools and wear hats, long pants, sneakers, gloves, and sunscreen. In return, participants will receive lunch, a free T-shirt, and a volunteer certificate. Help the “Leaves of Grass” grow and celebrate the legacy of Walt Whitman.
