Human Trafficking Beyond Awareness: Fostering a Unified Community Response – Free

Join a community conversation bringing together law enforcement, healthcare professionals and community-based organizations to move beyond awareness and create a coordinated response to human trafficking. 

This educational program will focus on understanding human trafficking, including its definition, awareness and response, while exploring ways to strengthen identification, support and lasting impact for individuals and communities affected by human trafficking.

Attendees will hear real case examples of multidisciplinary collaboration and participate in an expert panel discussion followed by an audience Q&A.

Expert speakers include Feride Castillo, Co-Founder, Director and Coordinator of ECLI-VIBES-SCAT; Laura Mullen, survivor expert, advocate and Co-Founder/President of the ECLI-VIBES Survivor Advisory Board; Det. Sgt. James Johnson of the Suffolk County Police Department Human Trafficking Investigations Unit; Inv. Sgt. Erin Meunkle of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative; Wilonda S. Green, Director of Northwell Health Institute for Community Health and Wellness H.E.A.R.T. for Human Trafficking Program; and Dr. Santhosh Paulus, Senior Medical Director of Northwell Health Institute for Community Health and Wellness H.E.A.R.T. for Human Trafficking Program.

Attendees can earn two community service hours.
