Join Gurwin for a community event designed to help caregivers communicate more effectively with loved ones living with dementia.
Presented in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, Long Island Chapter, this educational program will focus on communicating effectively for caregivers.
Dementia can affect a person’s ability to communicate, making it difficult to convey their wants and needs. Caregivers will learn how to use a person-centered approach to communicate more effectively at any stage of the disease.
Following the program, attendees will have an opportunity to tour the Gurwin community, including its Adult Day Care programs.
