HUNTINGTON STATION, NY – Issued October 28, 2026

Suffolk County Police responded to a report of an attempted stolen vehicle in Huntington Station on October 28.

A man approached a driver with what appeared to be a firearm. The driver wrestled the object out of the mans hand and the suspect fled. Further investigation revealed the object was not a firearm. There were no injuries.

The report was called in to police at 1:03 p.m.
