Step inside the 1711 Henry Lloyd Manor House, one of the oldest homes on Long Island and the place where Jupiter Hammon, America’s first published African American poet, lived while enslaved by the Lloyd family.
These guided tours explore the history of the Lloyd estate and daily life in the 18th century. Visitors will gain a deeper understanding of liberty, contradiction, and the lived experience during the Revolutionary era.
Docents from the Lloyd Harbor Historical Society will guide the tour.
