Ribbon Cutting and Reception – New exhibit, Examining the Multitudes Within Walt Whitman – Free

Join the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting and reception celebrating the grand opening of the new exhibit, Examining the Multitudes Within Walt Whitman, at the Walt Whitman Birthplace. 

Celebrate the opening of the Walt Whitman Birthplace’s newest exhibit, Examining the Multitudes Within Walt Whitman, featuring items from the Birthplace’s extensive archives and collections that are rarely displayed to the public.

The exhibit explores Walt Whitman through multiple perspectives, including the long-standing presence of the Whitman family in the Huntington area, the evolution of his writings, and his enduring literary legacy.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests are invited to attend a networking reception. This event is made possible through the support of Suffolk County Legislator Rebecca Sanin and her team.
