Mason Kraese, 27, of Huntington Station, NY – Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, Friend, and Dedicated Public Servant.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that Mason Kraese, age 27, passed away tragically in an ATV accident on August 30, 2025.
Born and raised in Huntington Station, Mason was the cherished son of Phillip and Mary Beth Kraese, and a devoted brother to Gunnar and Colton Kraese. He was the treasured grandson of Richard and Barbara Kraese and Frederick Steenson, and is predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Elizabeth Steenson.
Mason is also mourned by his loving extended family, including his aunt Elizabeth Glidden, cousins Erin, Zachary, Aiden, and Logan, uncle Frederick Steenson and aunt Laura Steenson, and their children, Freddie, Delana, and Andrew. And he leaves behind countless friends, coworkers, classmates and peers who grieve his loss.
A graduate of Walt Whitman High School (Class of 2016), Mason was a valued member of the Varsity Football Team. After graduating, Mason became a skilled and dedicated Steamfitter with Local 638, working at Trane Technologies, where he earned the respect of his colleagues for his craftsmanship and work ethic.
Mason was also a proud volunteer firefighter with the Huntington Manor Fire Department, where he served his community with unwavering commitment, and was an active participant in the Motorized Drill Team.
Mason’s passions were as big as his heart—from Country music and his pick-up truck, to quiet time in his garden, Mason found beauty in so many aspects of his life. He equally loved exploring with his spirit’s vast curiosity, and simply enjoying time with friends and family. He was an organ donor, and a true leader, who loved his community and country, and gave of himself with quiet strength and sincere pride.
Mason’s passing leaves an unfillable space in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and the energy he brought to everything he touched.
