LGBTQ+ Task Force Observes National Coming Out Day with a Screening of Love, Simon

Please join us at the South Huntington Public Library for a FREE screening of the 2018 teen romantic comedy Love, Simon (rated PG-13) in observance of National Coming Out Day.
Introducing the film will be the Town of Huntington’s very own Director of the Office of Film & Television, Joe Schramm, who will share some words about the significance Love, Simon holds in the world of LGBTQ+ cinema.
Afterwards, stick around to share your thoughts on the film in an open conversation about the “coming out” experience and the challenges people often face when they reveal their sexual orientation or gender identity to friends, family, or colleagues.

We hope to see you there, and remember, you do not have to identify as LGBTQ+ to be an ally to the community. Your support means everything.
