Larkfield Amateur Radio Club 24-Hour Field Day Event – Free

Come join the Larkfield Amateur Radio Club for their 24-Hour Field Day Event!

Field Day is a radio communications event that brings together amateur radio operators (also called “hams”) from across the community. The event serves as emergency preparedness training, an informal contest, and a fun opportunity to learn about amateur radio.
ARRL Field Day is the most popular ham radio activity held annually in the United States and Canada. Each year, thousands of amateur radio operators gather with clubs, groups, and friends to operate from remote locations while practicing emergency communications and radio operations under less-than-optimal conditions.
The contest portion involves contacting as many other stations as possible while learning to operate radio equipment in abnormal situations.
This is your chance for a hands-on experience with Ham Radio!
No license required.
Field Day combines emergency preparedness training, public education, and amateur radio operations in a family-friendly environment. No amateur radio license is required to participate.
