Kratom & Adolescents: Emerging Drug Trends – Free

Join an important conversation about kratom and its potential impact on young people. 

Kratom products are increasingly accessible, yet many families may be unfamiliar with what they are, their effects, and the warning signs to look for. Parents, caregivers, educators, and community members are invited to an evidence-based discussion focused on adolescent health, emerging drug trends, prevention, and practical ways to help keep youth safe.

The panel will feature Andrew Kolodny, MD, Medical Director of the Opioid Policy Research Collaborative; Barry Zaks, Director of the Huntington Drug & Alcohol Counseling Center; and Jana Wu, Clinical Expert at Mountainside Treatment Center. Linda Oristano, Executive Director of AWARE, will moderate the discussion.

A community Q&A will follow, giving attendees an opportunity to hear directly from the experts and ask questions.
