Greenlawn American Legion Mobile Flag Drop 2026

Do you have a worn or tattered American flag? Don’t throw it away – you can retire it with honor. After the flags are collected they are properly burned in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code. 

The Greenlawn American Legion will have a box in our libraries for a month at a time for you to bring your flags during library hours.. Check the flyer for your library’s dates.

January 2 – February 2: Half Hollow Hills Community Library, Dix Hills
February 2 – March 2: Half Hollow Hills Community Library, Melville
March 2 – April 1: Northport Public Library
April 1 – May 1: East Northport Public Library
May 1 – July 1: South Huntington Public Library
