Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances in which a man was
killed in a single vehicle crash involving a tractor at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack on July 21st.
Abdelmontalab Sati exited a 2023 International tractor and walked behind the rear of the vehicle which
then rolled backwards and struck Sati. Sati was found unconscious with his legs pinned under the
vehicle at 4:42 p.m. Detectives are investigating what time the incident occurred.
Sati, 62, of Amsterdam, New York, was transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in
Smithtown, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
