Huntington Community Band Celebrates 80 Year Anniversary! FREE!

Join the Huntington Community Band as they celebrate their 80th Anniversary and America’s 250th Anniversary with a summer of music under the stars. 

The Huntington Community Band invites the community to enjoy its 2026 Summer Concert Series at Heckscher Park’s Chapin Rainbow Stage. This special season celebrates the band’s 80th Anniversary and America’s 250th Anniversary with a variety of musical programs throughout July.

Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of music, community, and celebration under the stars.

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 – Legacy in Motion: 80 Years of HCB 

Celebrate tradition, growth, and the power of music with Legacy in Motion. Honoring the Huntington Community Band’s 80th anniversary, this program features iconic works such as The Stars and Stripes Forever and the 1812 Overture, alongside the premiere of Brad Hartman’s The Oak and the Acorn. Symbolizing both deep roots and new beginnings, this concert reflects the band’s enduring legacy while embracing the energy and promise of the next generation of musicians and artists. In addition, one lucky young audience member will get the chance to conduct the band in a fan favorite march: On the Mall!

Hosted by the Huntington Community Band, celebrating 80 years of music and community service. This concert is part of the Huntington Summer Arts Festival that is produced by the Town of Huntington and presented by the Huntington Arts Council.
