HUNTINGTON STATION, NY – Paulie’s Pizzeria, located at 76 E. Pulaski Rd. in Huntington Station (631-629-4935), is serving up a taste of nostalgia with its thin, crispy crust pizzas reminiscent of New York City in the 1970s. Owner Paul Hansen has created a spot where both the menu and the atmosphere transport you back in time.
The menu offers something for everyone, from the classic cheese pie to inventive specialties like the Spicy Stracciatella Square. Guests can also enjoy pasta dishes, heroes, salads, sides, and affordable lunch specials offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Step inside and you’ll immediately feel the retro vibe, complete with red-and-white checkered tablecloths and old-school pizzeria décor. For those who prefer dining al fresco, there’s outdoor seating with tables, chairs, and umbrellas.
During our visit, we had the chance to meet Joe C., the General Manager, whose passion for the restaurant was clear. He spent most of his career working with his father in their family’s Italian restaurant. Joe C.’s enthusiasm reflects the energy Paulie’s is bringing to the neighborhood.
The partnership of owners launched Cactus Café in Huntington which quickly grew into 6 locations. Paulie’s is part of a larger expansion into different cuisines along with their new Burger Haven restaurant in Huntington Village. The Paulie’s Pizzeria location was formerly Conte’s Burger Haven! When asked why the partners chose Huntington for 4 of their restaurants, Joe C. said “Two of the partners are from the Huntington area.”
The Huntington Matters team enjoyed a delicious lunch at Paulie’s Pizzeria, sampling a white slice, a chicken parm slice, garlic knots, and a gluten free and dairy free veggie pie – and we can confidently say we’ll be back soon! Paulie’s is quickly becoming a local favorite, blending old-school charm with fresh new flavor.
Paulie’s Pizzeria is open 7 days a week – Monday through Saturday from 11:00AM-9:00PM and Sunday from 11:00AM-8:00PM. Their website features 3 specials – Mondays: Buy 2 Parm Heroes, Get 1 Free. Wednesdays: $15 Round Cheese Pies. Sundays: $49 Sunday Dinner – Spaghetti & Meatballs, House Salad and 12 Garlic Knots. Customers can order online for pickup or delivery.
