Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a woman was found deceased in the Long Island Sound this evening.
Police responded to a 911 call reporting a body floating in the Long Island Sound off Lloyd Harbor Road in Lloyd Harbor at 7:45 p.m. The body of an adult female was recovered.
The identity of the woman and the cause of death is pending confirmation by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
