HUNTINGTON, NY – June 6, 2026
Residents, community leaders, elected officials and members of the LGBTQ+ community gathered at Heckscher Park on June 6 for the Town of Huntington’s 2nd Annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony.
The event, hosted by the Town of Huntington LGBTQ+ Task Force, celebrated diversity, inclusion and support for the LGBTQ+ community throughout the township. The ceremony featured remarks from local officials and community advocates, an appearance by News 12 meteorologist Alex Calamia, a performance by the Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus, and the raising of the Pride flag outside the Heckscher Museum of Art.
Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to visit the museum and continue the celebration of Pride Month.
