Northport Historical Society and Museum

The Museum is situated in an original Carnegie Library built in 1914 located at 215 Main Street and showcases a year-round exhibit that narrates the history of Northport, along with rotating exhibits that focus on more specific historical topics.The mission of the Northport Historical Society and Museum is to preserve and promote the history of Northport – East Northport, and its neighboring communities through the collection and interpretation of historic information, artifacts, documents, and places. We foster a sense of community through the education of a shared heritage between the residents of the past and those of today.
