Huntington Town Supervisor Ed Smyth, the Town of Huntington and Huntington High School hosted the fourth Town of Huntington Annual Army/Navy Football game on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Huntington High School’s Blue Devil Stadium.
The Huntington High School Blue Devils (Army) faced off against the Northport High School Tigers (Navy).
Supervisor Smyth and the Town of Huntington’s High School Army/Navy Football Game event is played annually in honor of all Veterans from all wars.
Event Highlights Included:
- A ceremonial coin toss
- A patriotic half-time performance by Huntington High School Marching Band
- A salute to the 2005 Huntington High School L.I. Championship Football Team
- Introductions of high-ranking military personnel and Army/Navy Recruiting booths featuring armed service members and vehicles.
Representatives from the US Navy and the US army were at the event. The Huntington Veterans Advisory Board was the events official Color Guard, presenting the Country’s colors.
Supervisor Ed Smyth presented the Town of Huntington Army/Navy Game Veteran Memorial Trophy to the “Navy” Northport High School Tigers who defeated the “Army” Huntington High School Blue Devils with a score of 16 to 14.
