Join local poet, author, and activist Erica Settino for an intimate event drawing from her poetry chapbook, The Life Forest, a collection exploring her late-diagnosed autism and ADHD, reverence for nature, and the wild roots of creativity. 

The gathering will be conversational, educational, and experiential.

We’ll begin with selected readings and an honest discussion about neurodivergence, identity, and reclaiming creativity as a means of personal expression later in life. Then we’ll move into a gentle, guided mindful arts workshop where you’ll be invited to create from your own inner landscape—no artistic experience required.

Start your weekend with art! Join us one Saturday each month for a new and exciting interactive gallery tour, hands-on art making, stories, and much more. 

Both English and Spanish speakers are welcome. Kids will explore a variety of different art materials and techniques as they create open-ended projects and let their imaginations soar! Get creative and make new friends at this program designed specifically for ages 5 through 10. Drop off optional for kids ages 6+.

On April 25, Art Explorers will make a work of art inspired by George Luks’s painting The Circus Tent, which is full of fun and nostalgia. Participants will use their imaginations to create their own circus tent drawings that open and close and fill them with drawings of exciting acts!
