Suffolk County Police last night cited the manager of a deli during an SLA Inspection.
In response to a community complaint, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Suffolk County Department of Health, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and the Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA inspection at Las Lajas Deli, located at 156 Depot Road, at 9:55 p.m.
During the inspection, numerous violations were observed. The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued three violations and one criminal summons. The manager, Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 45, of Huntington Station, was additionally cited for one ABC Law violation and 12 Health Code violations.
The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and the Suffolk County Board of Health will be conducting further investigations into the establishment.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
