Unused & Expired Medication Disposal – Free
Have unused or expired medications at home? Dispose of them safely and responsibly.
The Northport Police Department and Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will collect unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications at the Northport-East Northport Public Library.
Safe medication disposal is an important part of substance misuse prevention while also helping protect our environment.
Only medications in pill form will be accepted and must be placed in a plastic bag before arrival. No questions will be asked and no personal information is required.
Take a few minutes to check your medicine cabinets and help keep our homes and community safer.
