Life in Color: A Tribute to Maxine Jurow – Fundraiser and Art Sale
Art Sale & Fundraiser to establish the Maxine Jurow Scholarship Fund.
A Suite Pieces and Huntington Arts Council collaboration. The Huntington Arts Council and Suite Pieces are proud to present Life in Color – A Tribute to Maxine Jurow, a special exhibition and scholarship fundraiser commemorating the five-year anniversary of Maxine Jurow’s passing.
This evening of art and remembrance will celebrate Jurow’s vibrant legacy while supporting the next generation of artists. Proceeds from the sale of her original works will go toward establishing the Maxine Jurow Scholarship Fund, designed to help aspiring young creatives pursue their education and artistic passions.
“Maxine’s work was a testament to the power of color, movement, and emotion,” said Amanda Peppard, Founder of Suite Pieces, which houses Jurow’s former studio. “As we mark five years since her passing, we are honored to uplift her legacy by inspiring and supporting emerging artists.”
Maxine was a good friend and active member of HAC. In 2019 she was one of the featured artists in our Small Group Show. Also in 2019 HAC honored Maxine with the Harry & Sandy Chapin Legacy Award at a celebration at the Vanderbilt Estate.
