Great Cow Harbor Day Weekend

Saturday after the race is when they begin to set up for the Cow Harbor Day Festival.

Beginning at 8:00 PM Saturday, enjoy the Cow Harbor Weekend Concert featuring the NCJO Big Band in the Village Park. At the same time you can watch the Lighted Boat Display hosted by the Village Dock.

Sunday is the day when Main Street and the parking lots near the water are all closed and the cars give way to the thousands of pedestrians. THIS YEAR’S THEME IS “ICONIC NORTHPORT”

Cow Harbor Day Activities:

• The Parade begins at noon at the Brosnan Administration Building on Laurel Avenue in Northport Village and continues down Main Street to Woodbine Avenue. The route is approximately 3/4 of a mile.
• Arts and craft vendors and non-profit groups set up tents in the Village Park. In another area, Newton Shows sets up rides and games.
  Music is always playing at the Village Park and you can enjoy the many boats on the waterfront.

Sunday, September 22, 2024:
12:00PM – PARADE
1:00PM-5:00PM – Cow Harbor Day Activities
2:00PM – Crazy Boat Race at Northport Village Dock: Make your own boat from materials you have at home and meet us at the dock to race from the south end of the dock to the north end of the dock. All participants must wear a certified flotation lifejacket.

THE FUN CONTINUES UNTIL 5 PM SO ENJOY FOOD, GAMES, RIDES, SHOPS & RESTAURANTS IN BEAUTIFUL NORTHPORT VILLAGE!!!

The Cow Harbor festival is an event sponsored by the Incorporated Village of Northport. There are no corporate sponsors for Saturday evening or Sunday’s events. The weekend activities and events following the race are organized by a small committee of volunteers recruited by the Cow Harbor Committee Chairman, who is appointed by the Village Board.
