Father’s Day Jayne’s Hill Hike
Fathers Day Jayne’s Hill Hike – Join Walt Whitman Birthplace Association Tour Guide and Educator Jack Canfora to Jaynes’ Hill, the highest point on Long Island.
Walt Whitman returned to Jayne’s Hill at least twice after his family moved from West Hills in 1823. Walk the same trail that he would have taken to get up to Jayne’s Hill and listen to a few poems about Paumanok (how Whitman referred to Long Island).
Jack Canfora is a wonderful historian as well as an accomplished playwright with Off-Broadway plays “Poetic License” and “Critic’s Pick”.
