Erik Balkey, a New Jersey-based singer-songwriter and a winner in the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Competition, is the featured performing songwriter during the NorthShore Original Open Mic (NOOM) on Wednesday, May 14.
Presented by the Cinema Arts Centre and the Folk Music Society of Huntington (FMSH), the all-originals open mic extends from 7-10 p.m. in the Cinema’s Sky Room and is co-hosted by Toby Tobias and Richard Parr. The featured artist performs a short set beginning around 8 p.m. NOOM also is livestreamed via the Northshore Original Open Mic group on Facebook.
