The wait is finally over. Nearly a year after neighbors first spotted signs announcing Duck Donuts was coming to Huntington Station, the doors are about to open.
Duck Donuts will celebrate the grand opening of its new Huntington Station location at 723 East Jericho Turnpike on Saturday, September 19, opening at 8 a.m.
For Huntington neighbors, this one has been a long time coming. The first hint arrived on September 22, 2025, when John Marcinka spotted Duck Donuts signs in the windows and shared the news with neighbors in Huntington Matters Community Forum.
Since then, neighbors have been watching and waiting for signs of progress and wondering when the donuts would finally start coming out of the fryer.
This week, Duck Donuts confirmed that the wait is almost over. The Huntington Station team announced on its Facebook page that employees are training, donuts are being made and the glaze is flowing as they prepare to welcome customers.
“Because yes… we really ARE opening!” the Huntington Station location joked in its announcement.
And there is good reason to come hungry, and early. The first guest in line Saturday will win free donuts for a year, with more prizes planned throughout the grand opening celebration.
Duck Donuts specializes in warm, made-to-order vanilla cake donuts that customers can customize with coatings, toppings and drizzles. The menu also includes coffee and other drinks, donut sundaes and shakes, along with breakfast options.
After almost a year of watching the storefront and waiting for an opening date, Huntington Station neighbors can finally stop asking when Duck Donuts is opening.
Saturday is the day.
