It was a beautiful day to celebrate Huntington Unity Fun Day at the Stimson Middle School on Saturday, September 19. An annual tradition, this great event began in 2010 to raise awareness and inspire togetherness and solidarity throughout the community. This year’s parade and fair accomplished just that as neighbors, families and local businesses celebrated while learning about a variety of organizations and enjoying great music, food, and activities.
The morning began with a star-studded parade that included marching bands, classic cars, community organizations, local businesses and more. After the parade, the community gathered at the Stimson Middle School for a program that spotlighted accomplishments and showcased the diverse people and programs that make Huntington strong.
During the day, three individuals were recognized for their dedication to the community.
2026 Grand Marshal: Judy Goris-Moroff
Huntington Union Free School District
Judy Goris-Moroff is the Director of Bilingual Programs and World Languages in Huntington UFSD. She has years of experience in Multilingual Education, including her services as an EL teacher, bilingual classroom teacher, Spanish teacher and Bilingual Specialist at the LI-RBERN. Currently, she promotes the academic success of all language learners through professional development that builds teachers’ instructional and pedagogical content knowledge.
2026 Grand Marshal: Reginald Betts
South Huntington High School District
A proud South Huntington graduate of the Class of 1988, Reggie attended Sullivan Community College. From 1990-1995, he worked for Telephonics Corporation and then began his career with the South Huntington School District. Reggie was honored in 2024 with the “Above and Beyond Award” from the district. This award is presented by the Board of Education to staff members who demonstrate exceptional dedication, hard work and commitment behind the scenes in support of students and families.
2026 Grand Marshal: Pastor Dan Rivera
Huntington Assembly of God
Pastor Dan Rivera is a fourth-generation Puerto Rican raised in a Pentecostal, Christ-centered home in Elmont. For more than 20 years, Pastor Dan has invested in young people, creating opportunities for them to thrive, develop as leaders, and grow in their faith. In 2015, Pastor Dan and his wife Damaris, were led to serve at Huntington Assembly of God. In 2017, he left his career in corporate America to enter full-time ministry and in 2018 the congregation elected Dan and Damaris as Lead Pastors.

The Huntington Station Enrichment Center has worked with the Town of Huntington officials and the South Huntington School District to host the annual Unity Day Celebration for over a decade.
