Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning death of a woman in Northport on August 12th.
Second Precinct officers responded to a home, located at 9 Devon Place, after a 911 caller reported a woman was found unresponsive in an inground pool at approximately 7:55 a.m.
The woman, Eileen Specht, 87, who lived at the home, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe the incident is non-criminal in nature.
