Suffolk County Police last night cited the owner of a Huntington Station restaurant during an SLA Inspection.
In response to a community complaint, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with New York State Liquor Authority, Suffolk County Department of Health, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA Inspection at Amigos Tavern, located at 1789 New York Avenue, at 11:35 p.m.
During the inspection, numerous SLA violations and Health Code violations were observed, including patrons actively using hookahs inside the establishment. The Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector issued six Building Code violations.
The owner of the restaurant, Alberto Grullon, 34, of Brentwood, was additionally cited for four ABC Law violations and 16 Health Code violations.
Grullon is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on June 18.
The New York State Liquor Authority and the Suffolk County Board of Health will be conducting further investigations into the establishment.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
