HUNTINGTON, NY – As the moonless sky grew black, the bluesy tunes grew strong at The Chaplin Rainbow Stage on Sunday night. The 60th anniversary season of the Huntington Summer Arts Festival‘s free, live performances at Heckscher Park finished with a blast! The Huntington Arts Council and Town of Huntington did not disappoint as both the Mark Newman and Kelli Baker Bands covered soulful “Americana Blues Night” classics and featured original works to the delight of a packed crowd. A small, active group filled the photography well adjacent to the stage as Ms. Baker belted out song after song. Both bands connected with the audience by sharing personal anecdotes that inspired their original works. Too bad the season is ending! Can we get a fall season? We can bring blankets!
