DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite you to be a part of AN EVENING UNDER THE STARS brought to you by the Huntington Historical Society. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this, our nation’s 250th anniversary year, who better to honor than the two people who are the principal keepers of Huntington’s rich heritage and history: Antonia Mattheou, the Town of Huntington Archivist, and Robert C. Hughes, Huntington Town Historian.\nAntonia maintains our Town’s records going back to 1650, and she has also been instrumental in the preservation of the Huntington Lighthouse.\nRobert C. Hughes, the Huntington Town Historian, coordinates the Town’s historic preservation efforts, manages historic properties, and serves as liaison to cultural and historical organizations within the Town.
