DESCRIPTION:The Caribbean American Poetry Association (CAPA) and the South Huntington Public Library (SHPL) invite you to a Poetry Reading and Book Signing to celebrate National Caribbean American Heritage Month. \nThe celebration will include performances by several award-winning poets:\n– Abraham “Honest A.b.e” Benjamin: An author and musician from Grenada. \n– Burnett Coburn: A novelist and prolific dramatist from Jamaica. \n– Empress Poetry: An award-winning Barbadian-born, Brooklyn-based author and performer. \n– Berkley Wendell Semple: A fiction writer, literary reviewer, and librarian from Guyana. \nThe event will also feature an authors’ table with poetry books from both CAPA-member poets and our guest authors.\nLive entertainment will be provided by Praises in Steel, a steelpan ensemble and ministry band from St. David’s Episcopal Church in Cambria Heights, New York.
